Recognizes a 38kD nucleolar protein (NO38) in Xenopus (this protein has also been termed B23, nucleophosmin, numatrin in other species). Stains specifically the granular component of the nucleolus and small nucleolar dots in interphase cells. During mitosis the protein is localized accumulated around the condensed chromosomes. Species cross-reactivity: Xenopus laevis, Xenopus borealis, Pleurodelis waltl, Triturus cristatus; XLKE-A6 cells; chicken.

Nucleophosmin antibody LS-C37826 is an unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody to Nucleophosmin (NPM1 / NPM) (N-Terminus) from xenopus. It is reactive with chicken and xenopus. Validated for IF, IHC, IP and WB.

Suitable for use in Western Blot (Western), Immunoprecipitation (from Xenopus oocyte extracts nucleoplasmin-a 30kD protein-is co-precipitated, which shows high sequence homology to NO38), Immunofluorescence microscopy and Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections, also after fixation with paraformaldehyde). Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000 (ECL method). Immunohistochemistry: 1:300-1:500; Incubation time 1 hr at RT.
