This antibody reacts with human and mouse Oct-4 protein. Cross-reactivity with Oct-4 from other species has not been tested. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest additional cross-reactivity with Oct-4 from chimpanzee, macaque and horse based on a 100% homology with the immunizing sequence; and mink, dog, bovine and pig based on a 93% homology.

OCT4 antibody LS-C60139 is an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody to OCT4 (POU5F1) from human. It is reactive with human, mouse, horse and other species. Validated for ELISA, IF, IP and WB.

This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and western blotting. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately ~39 kD in size corresponding to Oct-4 by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. This antibody is capable of detecting endogenous Oct-4.
